Winter Session: Yalow Yellow Birds Family Support Center

This is the fifth of our 10-week winter session of the Family Support Center—for Yalow parents and students, which began on Thursday, January 5, 2017. Ten families meet Thursday evenings with counselors from the Riverdale Mental Health Association. The 10 sessions take place in the school beginning at 5:15 p.m. for parents who have agreed to attend all 10 winter sessions from January 5 through March 16. If you wish to attend the complete 10-week winter session, please sign and return the attached form. Interested parents should apply. A brief interview will follow.

Parents will learn stress management techniques and discipline techniques, while children will practice social skills in a supportive environment. The Family Support Center is run by a team of clinical professionals from the Riverdale Mental Health Association in partnership with the Rosalyn Yalow Charter School.
